Sunday Services
New to Emmanuel? Never been to church? Not sure what you believe? No problem! You are so welcome. Coming to church can be a bit nerve-wracking if you're not used to it, so here's what to expect when you join us.

Welcome
We meet in the main hall of the Plungington community centre. Our friendly welcome team are on hand to guide you in and answer any questions you might have. Our services are all on a screen so there's no need o worry about picking up a hymn book or service sheet.
Worship
We have different types of services happening through the month but there are always songs, a Bible reading and a sermon. They usually last about an 1 hour 15 minutes.
Our services are designed to be easy to follow, with clear guidance throughout. We’ll let you know when to sit or stand, and you’re welcome to simply listen if you’re not sure about joining in.

Children
Children play a key part in our worship and it's normal for children to be seen and heard at church!

During the service, we have a Junior Church in the side room to the right of the hall. Once a month we have an All Age service where all the children and adults are involved in the service together. We have a small area towards the back of church with some toys for smaller children and babies too.

The leaders of Junior Church are experienced and safeguarded (see link below) to look after and teach the children about the Bible.
Communion
Holy Communion is a special time when we remember Jesus’ sacrifice and share in the meal He gave His followers. Through bread and wine, we recall His love, grace, and presence with us today. At Emmanuel Church, we celebrate Communion regularly as part of our worship.
Anyone who loves Jesus and is committed to following him is welcome to receive communion. If you're not sure if that's you don't worry! You're still welcome to come and receieve a prayer of blessing.

Everyone is welcome at Emmanuel. If you have any questions or require support during your visit, please just ask.
